Your guide will meet you at your residence or hotel to begin a full-day tour of Dhaka City, showcasing its most iconic attractions. Highlights include:
- Parliament House (Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban): Designed by Louis Kahn, a masterpiece of modern architecture.
- Dhaka University Area: A hub of history and education.
- Dhakeshwari Temple: A historic Hindu temple and one of the city’s oldest.
- Lalbagh Fort: A 17th-century Mughal fort steeped in history.
- Star Mosque and Armenian Church: Two stunning religious landmarks reflecting Dhaka’s diverse heritage.
- Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace): The former residence of the Nawabs, now a museum.

6:00 PM to Overnight:
From Sadarghat, board a traditional paddle steamer, often referred to as the Rocket Steamer, a century-old vessel with a unique charm. After boarding, explore the deck to take in the serene river views and breathe in the fresh air. Dinner will be served onboard at 8:30 PM. Spend the night on the vessel, enjoying the gentle rhythm of the water as you drift through the scenic Bangladeshi waterways.

Backwater Canal Cruise and Countryside Adventure
Start your day early at 6:00 AM, when your guide will pick you up directly from your boat. You’ll travel to Banaripara, a scenic one-hour drive away. There, you’ll board a traditional country motorboat and head to a bustling local bazaar, such as Banaripara, Harta, or Athghar Baokathi (depending on the day of the week). At the Non-Touristic Floating Vegetable Market, you’ll witness local farmers selling their freshly grown produce directly to city vendors, a vibrant display of rural life.
After exploring the floating market, continue your journey with a peaceful canal cruise through narrow waterways, soaking in the panoramic beauty of rural Bangladesh. Along the way, visit a timber market on the riverbank, and enjoy a delicious meal at a cozy, homely restaurant.
In the evening, visit the Guthia Mosque, a stunning architectural gem, and take a leisurely stroll through Barishal City to wrap up your day.

Backwater Tour and Return River Cruise Journey
5:30 AM to 8:30 AM:
Start your day early with a Tuk Tuk ride and a quick on-the-go breakfast, as you head to the Shondha River to catch the floating market—a must-see for culture lovers. This early morning trip gives you the best chance to experience the lively market, where local farmers sell their fresh produce on boats, creating a vibrant, picturesque scene. From there, embark on a backwater riverine journey, where you’ll explore the quiet beauty of rural Bangladesh.
8:30 AM to 5:00 PM:
Board a local engine boat to venture deeper into the waterways. You’ll navigate through unique floating vegetable gardens and colorful floating markets, providing a rare glimpse into the rural life of Bangladesh. If visiting during the rainy season, you might also see the wood boat market along with Guava Market, offering an authentic look at local trade. As you cruise through rivers and canals, learn about traditional fishing techniques and how these waterways support village life. A delicious lunch will be served at a cozy, homely restaurant along the way. Afterward, visit the Guthia Mosque, an important cultural site.
6:00 PM to Overnight:
In the evening, board a modern water vessel for your return journey to Dhaka. We’ll arrange a first-class cabin for you, or if you prefer, a VIP room with a private toilet and balcony. If your trip coincides with a full moon, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the moonlight reflecting on the river. For an even better view, head to the top deck of the three-story steamer. As you sail, pass through the calm villages you explored earlier that day.
Dinner will be served in your cabin, and you’ll spend the night on the vessel, cruising back to Dhaka.
