1

Dhaka City Tour and Overnight on a Traditional Steamer

10:00 AM to 5:30 PM:
Your guide will meet you at your residence or hotel to begin a full-day tour of Dhaka City, showcasing its most iconic attractions. Highlights include:

  • Parliament House (Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban): Designed by Louis Kahn, a masterpiece of modern architecture.
  • Dhaka University Area: A hub of history and education.
  • Dhakeshwari Temple: A historic Hindu temple and one of the city’s oldest.
  • Lalbagh Fort: A 17th-century Mughal fort steeped in history.
  • Star Mosque and Armenian Church: Two stunning religious landmarks reflecting Dhaka’s diverse heritage.
  • Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace): The former residence of the Nawabs, now a museum.

The day concludes at Sadarghat, Dhaka’s bustling river port, a fascinating hub of activity and one of the city’s busiest areas.

6:00 PM to Overnight:
From Sadarghat, board a traditional river vessel, a century-old unique charm. After boarding, explore the deck to take in the serene river views and breathe in the fresh air. Dinner will be served onboard at 9:30 PM. Spend the night on the vessel, enjoying the gentle rhythm of the water as you drift through the scenic Bangladeshi waterways.

Visit Mosque City of Bagherhut and Sundarban, 02 UNESCO World Heritage Site

Our guide will call you up at 6:00am in the morning and you will check-in to the Hotel. After getting freshen-up and having breakfast, you will start your journey to explore UNESCO world heritage, the mosque city of Bagherhut. It will be a 2.5 hours of drive.

7am to 1:30pm: You will explore the ancient mosques around Bagherhut area. If it is not Sunday, you can explore an archeological small museum in 60 dome mosque area. Afterword, you will have lunch and move towards Mongla area.

2:30pm to 6:30pm: Your Bangladesh travel itinerary will never be completed without Sundarban. Though it takes 03 days to do to explore Sundarban, you will get a glimpses of Sundarban at Karamjal. Reaching Mongla, you will ride on country boat to reach Karamjal, the first forest station inside Sundarban forest area. Karamjal is a breading sanctuary for deer and crocodiles. You can get a clear glimpse of the Sundarban as you will walk through wooden path inside forest. You can surely explore different mangrove trees, act of open monkeys and if you are lucky you may meetup wild deer too. 

6:30pm to 9:00pm: The sun will set and the birds will fly back to their nests as you will get back to Mongla. You will find ships crossing by to the second largest port of Bangladesh and some economic activities as you make your return journey.

You will get back to Barishal to stay overnight.

Backwater Canal Cruise and Countryside Adventure

Start your day early at 6:00 AM, when your guide will pick you up directly from your boat. You’ll travel to Banaripara, a scenic one-hour drive away. There, you’ll board a traditional country motorboat and head to a bustling local bazaar, such as Banaripara, Harta, or Athghar Baokathi (depending on the day of the week). At the Non-Touristic Floating Vegetable Market, you’ll witness local farmers selling their freshly grown produce directly to city vendors, a vibrant display of rural life.

After exploring the floating market, continue your journey with a peaceful canal cruise through narrow waterways, soaking in the panoramic beauty of rural Bangladesh. Along the way, visit a timber market on the riverbank, and enjoy a delicious meal at a cozy, homely restaurant.

In the evening, visit the Guthia Mosque, a stunning architectural gem, and take a leisurely stroll through Barishal City to wrap up your day.

Early Morning Hotel/Airport Drop

Your 4-day Bangladesh itinerary concludes with an early morning arrival in Dhaka at 6:30 AM. From here, we will provide a comfortable drop-off to your hotel or Dhaka International Airport, ensuring a smooth and convenient end to your journey.
