Day 1: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Day 2: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Dhaka City Tour and Journey to Khulna

After a hearty breakfast, your day begins with a tour of Dhaka, where you’ll dive into the city’s rich heritage, culture, and history.

Morning Highlights:

  • Visit the Parliament House, an architectural marvel by Louis Kahn.
  • Explore the Dhaka University area, a hub of history and education.
  • Discover the spiritual charm of the Dhakeshwari Temple and the grandeur of Lalbagh Fort, a Mughal-era fortress.

Afternoon Activities:

For lunch, indulge in the iconic Dhakaiya Biryani, a must-try delicacy, and sample some of Dhaka’s vibrant street food along the way. After lunch, navigate the narrow lanes of Old Dhaka with your guide to visit:

  • Star Mosque, renowned for its intricate mosaics.
  • Armenian Church, a historical site reflecting Dhaka’s colonial past.
  • Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace), a symbol of Dhaka’s royal legacy.

Evening Transfer to Khulna:

In the evening, board a sleeper AC bus for a comfortable 5-hour journey to Khulna.

Day 3: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Reaching Deep into the Jungle

After breakfast, a short 10-minute ride will take you to the ship port from your hotel. If all guests arrive early, the tour will begin with breakfast on board. As you enjoy your meal, the vessel will gently set sail towards the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world.

Morning Journey:

The scenic three-hour cruise will lead to Harbaria, your first encounter with the mystical Sundarbans Forest. Here, you can disembark and explore the captivating surroundings, taking in the lush greenery and unique ecosystem.

Evening Exploration:

By evening, you’ll arrive at Kochikhali, where you can wander through the forest and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Mangrove Forest. As the sun sets, keep an eye out for wildlife along the riverbank, where animals often appear to quench their thirst in the serene glow of twilight.

Overnight Stay:

The first night will be spent onboard the vessel, anchored at Kochikhali, surrounded by the tranquility of the forest and the gentle sounds of nature.

Day 4: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Jungle Safari Around Kotka Forest Station

Start your day at sunrise with an adventurous country boat ride through the serene waterways of the Sundarbans. This early-morning journey offers a rare opportunity to witness the forest’s wildlife up close as they gather near the riverbanks for fresh water. You may encounter deer, wild boars, flocks of birds, and, with some luck, even a glimpse of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

Daytime Activities:

  • Jungle Trekking: Explore the Jamtora Beach area on foot, immersing yourself in the unspoiled wilderness of the Sundarbans.
  • Watchtower Visit: Climb a watchtower to get panoramic views of the forest canopy and spot wildlife from above.

Evening & Overnight Stay:

As the sun sets, you’ll return to the vessel and enjoy the serene atmosphere while cruising through the forest. The night will be spent onboard at Kotka, with the possibility of moving upstream depending on the tides.

Day 5: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Return Journey from the Forest

On this day, your adventure in the Sundarbans comes to an end as you begin the return journey. The cruise will start depending on the high tide timing, taking you back toward civilization.

Morning Activities:

  • Visit a fishermen’s village to observe their daily lives and unique practices.
  • Stop at Karamjal, an artificial breeding center for deer and crocodiles, where you can learn about their conservation efforts.

Midday Exploration:

  • Pause at the Danga Maari Canal, known as a habitat for river dolphins. With a bit of luck, you might spot one surfacing for air.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard as the cruise continues its serene journey.

Journey to Dhaka:

Upon reaching the dock, you’ll disembark and drive back to Dhaka. Along the way, you’ll cross the majestic Padma River (Ganges), one of the most iconic rivers of the Indian subcontinent, offering a memorable view.

Day 6: Over Night Stay in Dhaka

Panam City & Sonargaon Trip and Airport Drop

After breakfast, you will head to Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal, where the rich heritage and history of the region come alive.

Highlights of Sonargaon:

  • Visit the beautifully renovated Sardarbari and its surrounding Folk Museum, showcasing the vibrant cultural legacy of Bengal.
  • Admire the terracotta decorations and wood carvings on the historic community buildings of wealthy merchants.

After exploring Sonargaon, you’ll return to Dhaka, with the schedule adjusted based on your flight departure time.
