Start your day early at 6:00 AM, when your guide will pick you up directly from your boat. You’ll travel to Banaripara, a scenic one-hour drive away. There, you’ll board a traditional country motorboat and head to a bustling local bazaar, such as Banaripara, Harta, or Athghar Baokathi (depending on the day of the week). At the Non-Touristic Floating Vegetable Market, you’ll witness local farmers selling their freshly grown produce directly to city vendors, a vibrant display of rural life.
After exploring the floating market, continue your journey with a peaceful canal cruise through narrow waterways, soaking in the panoramic beauty of rural Bangladesh. Along the way, visit a timber market on the riverbank, and enjoy a delicious meal at a cozy, homely restaurant.
In the evening, visit the Guthia Mosque, a stunning architectural gem, and take a leisurely stroll through Barishal City to wrap up your day.

UNESCO Heritage: The Mosque City and Life Beside the Largest Mangrove Forest
Start your day with breakfast at 9:00 AM before embarking on a journey to explore The Mosque City of Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 2.5-hour drive through picturesque countryside will bring you to one of Bangladesh’s most historically significant archaeological sites. Among the many mosques in the city, you’ll visit the iconic Sixty Dome Mosque from the 15th century and the Shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, both remarkable for their hand-crafted brickwork and intricate terracotta art, showcasing the area’s rich cultural legacy.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your journey to the Mongla Port area. From there, board a traditional local boat to reach Karamjal, the first forest station of the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest. At Karamjal, you’ll enjoy a brief walk and learn about the crocodile and turtle breeding center, dedicated to preserving these endangered species.
In the late afternoon, your boat will take you to a community cottage or eco-resort situated at the forest’s edge, separated by a serene canal. Spend the evening surrounded by nature in this tranquil setting.

Begin your day with a serene journey into the heart of the forest. Discover how forest communities sustain themselves by harvesting honey, collecting fallen wood, fishing, and netting, all while living in harmony with the wilderness. Along the way, you might spot fascinating wildlife like the Rhesus macaque and the water monitor lizard.
Around 11:00 AM, return to Mongla and set off on a 2-hour drive to a remote village in the Narail District. Here, you’ll witness an extraordinary practice: fishing with the help of trained otters. This century-old collaboration between humans and wildlife is now upheld by just one or two families. The otters are treated as beloved pets, playing a crucial role in this mutually beneficial tradition.
In the late afternoon, begin your return journey to Dhaka, bringing your adventure to a close.

Your day begins with a meet-up at the hotel, where your representative will take you on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Sonargaon, the ancient capital of Bengal. Marvel at the intricate terracotta decorations and wood carvings that adorn old community buildings once owned by wealthy merchants.
